Hermannsburg Museum

Hermannsburg lies between Greytown and Kranskop on the R74. It is situated in an extremely picturesque area of mountains, valleys and alongside the Himbitwa River.
Hermannsburg became the base, where the Lutheran missionaries, sent out from Germany by Pastor Louis Harms, learnt the Zulu language before they departed for the appointed mission stations. In the 1860s they started training Zulu Pastors. If you visit the Mission House Museum you will follow the historical footsteps and learn about the first missionaries and settlers.
